ABOUT LEAH
Leah Caras (Larson), age 21, is the founder, editor, and publisher of YALDAH magazine. At age 11, Leah had the powerful experience of attending Camp Gan Israel in Milford, MA and was inspired to embrace Judaism with passion. As she continued to learn more about her beautiful heritage, she wanted to share this with other Jewish girls like herself. Leah searched for a magazine for Jewish girls, and when she didn’t find one, she decided to create it herself. Leah began working on YALDAH when she was twelve. Her talent and experience with writing, photography, art, and computers helped Leah create the first issue. After a year of hard work, the first issue debuted.YALDAH now has readers worldwide and is sold in hundreds of bookstores across the country. Over 100 girls have served on YALDAH’s yearly Editorial Board. They run summer and winter retreats for Jewish girls, art and writing contests, and mitzvah projects. YALDAH’s newest addition, YM Books publishes books for Jewish girls. YALDAH is written, edited, and published by Jewish girls and is dedicated to supplying Jewish girls with good quality, kosher, reading. YALDAH magazine celebrates Jewish girls and women, Jewish life and values, and creativity, and aims to connect Jewish girls and inspire them to embrace their Judiasm with pride and become leaders of the future. YALDAH shows girls that using their talents and determination, they can make their dreams come true!
